What this website does
This independent website combines local Whisper transcription, basic transcript and subtitle editing, and subtitle format conversion. It is not an OpenAI service or the WhisperWeb commercial website.
What you can use
Transcribe a supported local recording, review its text and times, and export TXT, SRT or VTT. Convert existing SRT/VTT files without running a speech model. The free version does not include accounts, cloud projects, dubbing or batch processing.
Open-source foundations
The application uses Astro, React, Transformers.js, Whisper, ONNX Runtime and other open-source components. The notices link below provides component versions, licenses and attribution.
