What can M4A to Text do?
M4A is commonly used for saved voice memos. Export the actual audio file from your recorder instead of sharing only a cloud link. M4A can contain different audio codecs: play a short sample before starting recognition. You do not need to convert a playable M4A to MP3 first, and changing the extension does not convert its audio.

M4A to Text: common questions
Useful answers before you begin.
Can I paste an iCloud sharing link?
No. Save the M4A file to your device first. The tool reads a file you choose, not a private sharing link.
Why will my M4A not play?
The extension does not guarantee a supported codec. Try exporting a compatible MP3 or WAV from the original recorder, then use Audio to Text.
Will pauses be removed from the audio?
No. The original recording is unchanged. Text and subtitle exports are separate files.
