What can SRT to VTT do?
SRT is common in editors and media players; WebVTT is used for web video tracks. This tool adds a WEBVTT header and converts the timestamp separator, keeping multiline captions and valid overlapping times. It does not run speech recognition or need a video file.

Will the caption timing change?
No. Existing start and end times are preserved, not realigned. Fix timing errors in the source subtitles first.
Do I need to upload a video?
No. Only the SRT file is needed. Use Generate Subtitles if you need captions from a recording.
Why is the encoding rejected?
Save the source as UTF-8. Invalid encoding is rejected instead of exporting unreadable text.
